Launch of our first webstore

Back in 2010 our first online shop went live just before the holiday break. With the launch of Beltegoed.nl, Recharge was born and the prepaid revolution commenced

2012

Expand to FR, DE & UK

In 2012 we expanded with more local brands in France with Recharge.fr, Germany with Guthaben.de and the UK with Mobiletopup.co.uk

2015

Seed funding

Our first shareholder Committed Capital joins us as a minority shareholder

2016

First A-Brand partnership

We secure our first A-Brand partnership deal with Apple , becoming an official digital retailer of App Store and iTunes gift cards.

2019

Series A funding

Prime Ventures coms onboard to help fuel our growth. Their belief in us saw us raise €22M.

2020

We become Recharge

Up until this point we went by the name Creative Group. In becoming Recharge we set our goal to become a global leader in prepaid payments.

2021

Series B funding

2021 saw us successfully raise $35M in series B funding from new investors SmartFin and BlackRock alongside Prime Ventures.

2022

Global Marketplace Launches

Recharge officially went global. We release our one-stop-shop on web and app for prepaid payments globally, enabling anyone to purchase prepaid in any country, in any language and with any payment method.

2023

Startselect joins Recharge

Startselect, the European digital gift and gaming cards company, joins the Recharge family of consumer labels to offer an even better service to prepaid users worldwide
